Enter the shala quietly and allow for peaceful environment during the practice times.
Practice is best taken on an empty stomach – at least 3 hours after the last meal.
Women should take two to three days of rest (“ladies’ holiday”) during their menstrual period and avoid inversion postures during the rest of the period.
Please take a shower before coming to the class and do not use perfumes.
Bring your own yoga mat and the towel for adjustments. If you don’t have a mat, you can get one in the shala.
Wear light, comfortable and elastic clothes. Avoid wearing jewellery.
Maintain your yoga mat, carpet and clothes clean and odour free.
Focus on your own practice and the given sequence – try to avoid being disturbed by looking around.
Remember that learning takes patience and acceptance of our own limitations. Be forgiving to yourself while you are working your way over these limits.
